AI Helper MCP Tools

AI Helper tools map everyday names and metric language to the exact IDs and field names other impact.com Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools require. Your AI assistant uses them in the background before it runs analytics or other lookups. You can ask the MCP tools for results in plain language.

Upgrade your setup: MCP Skills are available as a direct add-on to help AI agents execute actions on top of your MCP Tools. Learn more about Partner MCP Skills. Using MCP? Tell us which tools and skills you want, and what is getting in the way.

Pre-query resolvers

resolve_partner

Resolves a partner's name to the numeric partner ID other tools need, scoped to a program. Available on brand accounts. Use it before filtering performance data by partner, evaluating a partner recommendation, or finding partners similar to one you already work with.

Sample tool prompts
  • How's Dinah Soares performing on my program this month?

  • Filter that revenue report down to just ACME Media and ACME UK.

  • Find me partners similar to my top performer, Dinah Soares.

resolve_program

Resolves a program or brand name to the numeric program ID other tools need. Available on both brand and partner accounts, used whenever a request refers to a program by name instead of by ID.

Sample tool prompts
  • How did my ACME program do last month?

  • Show me programs similar to ACME Fitness.

  • Break down performance for the Dinah Soares program.

resolve_partner_group

Resolves a partner group's name to the numeric group ID other tools need, scoped to a program. Available on brand accounts. Use it when a request refers to a group of partners by name rather than individually.

Sample tool prompts
  • How's my "Top Tier" partner group trending this quarter?

  • Compare revenue for my VIP partners group against everyone else.

resolve_query_fields

Maps everyday metric and dimension language, like revenue or conversion rate, to the exact API field names query_performance needs, scoped to the right performance catalog for your account type. Available on both brand and partner accounts. Your AI assistant calls this before almost any analytics question, and again if a query comes back with an unknown-field error.

Sample tool prompts
  • What's my conversion rate by channel this month?

  • Break down reversed actions and revenue at risk by partner.

  • Compare clicks, actions, and earnings by program for the last 30 days.
